Will Doolittle

My company, Moving Image Productions, has been producing “media with a heart” since 1987, when I finished a three year stint in television news and decided to go out on my own. Since that time we have created a number of educational documentaries intended to motivate audiences to act on issues of social justice, environmental protection, indigenous rights and challenging racism, among others.

I have been fortunate to have known the Winnemem Wintu people since 1990, first as a guest at ceremonies and later as a videographer, recording various events and helping to bring their story to light. It is my hope that Dancing Salmon Home will bring to light the hidden history of the treatment of Native peoples in California, and the story of the Winnemem people in particular, as well as bringing to a larger audience their message of honoring and protecting the natural world and the Water that gives us life.-– Will Doolittle
